What we pull

What StatCrow reads from Umami.

StatCrow reads daily visitors and pageviews for the websites you pick. Read only. We just count.

  • Visitors
  • Pageviews

Freshness: Same day.

Self-hosted instances work in your dashboard but never show as verified.

  • Days are counted in UTC. Today's numbers stay provisional until the day ends.
  • Visitors are Umami's unique sessions per day.
  • Self-hosted Umami works, but it shows as a Self-hosted source and is never verified. StatCrow can't vouch for a server you run.
  • An API key is the better choice for self-hosted Umami. Accounts with two-factor sign-in need one.

Setup

Create a read-only Umami key.

umami.setup

  1. 1In Umami, open Settings, then API keys, and select Create key. Name it StatCrow.
  2. 2Copy the key and paste it below.
  3. 3Self-hosting Umami? Also enter your instance's address. On older versions without API keys, enter your username and password instead.
  4. 4After connecting, pick which website belongs to which project. The website's domain has to match the project's domain.

Permissions to grant

  • An API key that can see your websites. StatCrow only reads website lists and pageview counts. It never changes anything.

FAQ

Umami questions.

Does self-hosted Umami work?

Yes. It shows as a Self-hosted source and is never verified, because StatCrow can't vouch for a server you run.

What counts as a visitor?

Umami's unique sessions per day.

Can StatCrow change anything in my Umami account?

StatCrow only sends read requests, and asks for read-only access wherever the provider supports it. Your credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown again after you save them.

How far back does Umami history go?

Up to about two years, as far as Umami allows. The Free plan keeps the last 90 days. Pro keeps everything.

How fresh are Umami numbers?

Same day. The crow checks on a schedule and shows when each source last synced.

Do these numbers show as verified?

Hosted accounts do, as long as the last sync was healthy and recent. Self-hosted instances work privately but never get the verified stamp.
