Polar + StatCrow
Revenue, MRR and subscriptions from Polar.
Create an Organization Access Token with three read scopes. StatCrow reads Polar's metrics, and each product can feed its own project.

What we pull
What StatCrow reads from Polar.
StatCrow reads revenue, MRR and subscriptions from Polar's metrics with a read-only Organization Access Token. We count the coins. We never touch them.
- Revenue
- Monthly recurring revenue
- Active subscriptions
- New customers
- Churned subscriptions
Freshness: Same day.
- One token covers one Polar organization. Each product can go to its own project, and several products can share one.
- Map either the whole organization or its single products, not both, or the same sales count twice.
- Polar doesn't show a token's scopes to anyone, so StatCrow can't check for write access. Grant the three read scopes and nothing more.
- Amounts are in USD, the currency Polar settles in.
- New customers counts new subscriptions. One-time purchases show up in revenue, not there.
- The first sync pulls up to two years of daily history.
Setup
Create a read-only Polar key.
polar.setup
- 1In the Polar dashboard, open your organization's Settings and scroll to Developers.
- 2Select New Token and name it StatCrow. Pick any expiration. When it runs out, reconnect with a fresh token.
- 3Tick exactly three scopes: organizations:read, metrics:read and products:read. Leave everything else off, especially anything ending in :write.
- 4Create the token, copy it and paste it below. It starts with polar_oat_.
- 5Use a token from polar.sh, not the sandbox. Sandbox money is pretend, and so would the stats be.
- 6After connecting, pick which Polar product belongs to which project, or map the whole organization to one project.
Permissions to grant
- metrics:read (revenue, MRR and subscription counts)
- organizations:read (your organization's name and ID)
- products:read (your product names, so you can map each one)
FAQ
Polar questions.
Which scopes does the token need?
Exactly three: organizations:read, metrics:read and products:read. Leave everything else off, especially anything ending in :write.
Can StatCrow check my token's scopes?
Polar doesn't expose a token's scopes, so we can't check for write access. Grant the three read scopes and nothing more.
Can one Polar organization feed several projects?
Yes. Map each product to its project, or map the whole organization to one. Not both, or the same sales count twice.
What currency are amounts in?
USD, the currency Polar settles in.
Can StatCrow change anything in my Polar account?
StatCrow only sends read requests, and asks for read-only access wherever the provider supports it. Your credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown again after you save them.
How far back does Polar history go?
Up to about two years, as far as Polar allows. The Free plan keeps the last 90 days. Pro keeps everything.
How fresh are Polar numbers?
Same day. The crow checks on a schedule and shows when each source last synced.
Do these numbers show as verified?
Yes, as long as the connection is healthy and synced recently. Stale connections lose the verified stamp.
