What we pull

What StatCrow reads from Paddle.

StatCrow reads your Paddle Billing products, subscriptions and transactions with a read-only API key. We count the coins. We never touch them.

  • Monthly recurring revenue
  • Active subscriptions
  • Revenue
  • New customers
  • Churned subscriptions

Freshness: Same day.

  • Paddle Billing only. Paddle Classic isn't supported.
  • MRR counts active and past due subscriptions after recurring discounts, scaled to a month. Trials count once they pay.
  • Revenue is completed transactions after discounts and before tax, minus refunds and chargebacks, in each transaction's own currency.
  • A subscription or transaction with several products is split between them line by line.

Setup

Create a read-only Paddle key.

paddle.setup

  1. 1Sign in to your live Paddle account at vendors.paddle.com. Not sandbox: sandbox sales aren't real.
  2. 2Go to Developer tools, then Authentication, and create a new API key. Name it StatCrow.
  3. 3Give it read access to Products, Subscriptions, Transactions, Discounts and Adjustments. Leave everything else off.
  4. 4Copy the key and paste it below. It starts with pdl_live_apikey_.
  5. 5After connecting, pick which Paddle product belongs to which project. One Paddle account can feed several projects.

FAQ

Paddle questions.

Is Paddle Classic supported?

No. StatCrow supports Paddle Billing only.

Do sandbox keys work?

No. Sandbox sales aren't real, so neither would the stats be. Use your live account.

How are refunds handled?

Revenue is completed transactions after discounts and before tax, minus refunds and chargebacks.

Can StatCrow change anything in my Paddle account?

StatCrow only sends read requests, and asks for read-only access wherever the provider supports it. Your credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown again after you save them.

How far back does Paddle history go?

Up to about two years, as far as Paddle allows. The Free plan keeps the last 90 days. Pro keeps everything.

How fresh are Paddle numbers?

Same day. The crow checks on a schedule and shows when each source last synced.

Do these numbers show as verified?

Yes, as long as the connection is healthy and synced recently. Stale connections lose the verified stamp.
